Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd seeks an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization to drive audits from planning to reporting, with a clear path toward Director/Partnership. The firm offers a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance.

The role acts as the liaison among partners, clients, and staff, overseeing engagements, budgets, and staff development while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• At least five years of public accounting experience in the public sector, including audits of state and local governments.
• CPA license required.
• Leadership ability and teamwork skills are essential.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and GASB standards.
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance is preferred.
• Not-for-profit audits experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple audit and review engagements concurrently.
• Maintain client contact and understand client operations and controls.
• Update Director or Partner on important developments and propose solutions.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and adherence to firm standards.
• Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and budgets tracked.
• Understand and apply the firm’s audit approach.
• Mentor and train staff; identify opportunities for scope expansion.
• Review financial statements and client deliverables.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff performance.
• Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts.
