Job summary

Progressive regional CPA firm is seeking an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization to fast-track to Director/Partnership. The role offers a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance.

You will oversee multiple engagements, supervise staff, manage budgets, and develop client relationships while contributing to practice development. The ideal candidate will have a CPA license, five years in public accounting with public sector experience, and strong GAAP/GASB/GAAS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least five years of public accounting experience focused on government audits.
• Current CPA license and strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, GAAS.
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book and governmental audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple audit engagements concurrently and oversee engagement workflows.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate important developments to partners.
• Lead, train, supervise and review staff and seniors on engagements.
• Develop budgets and monitor engagement performance; flag overruns early.
• Support business development and firm initiatives.
