The State of Nevada's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a State Land Agent 2 in the Carson City office to perform land acquisitions, easements, and related transactions under supervision. You will review title work, prepare documents, negotiate with property owners, and ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.

This trainee level role offers a pathway to journey status with training and mentorship.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, real estate, environmental or natural science, or related field; OR four years of relevant experience with high school diploma; OR one year as State Land Agent I; OR an equivalent combination.
• Ability to review title work, negotiate, and prepare legal documents.
• Strong research, reporting, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Acquire land and interests through negotiations or condemnation; determine fair market value and coordinate appraisals.
• Manage state lands, sovereign lands, and school trust lands to meet highest and best use; inspect parcels and ensure compliance.
• Solicit bids and oversee contracts for appraisals, title, escrow, surveys, and construction plans.
• Review permits and project plans, ensure legal and environmental compliance, and maintain records.
• Prepare reports and respond to inquiries from owners, attorneys, and agencies.
• Draft legislation or regulations related to State lands as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
