Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in Carson City seeks a State Land Agent 2 to support the Division of State Lands. Under supervision, you will handle licenses, easements, and permits, and perform title research and reporting related to state lands.

The role involves negotiating land interests, reviewing appraisals, and drafting legal documents. A bachelor’s degree and relevant public lands experience are preferred; extensive training is provided in a journey-level path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, real estate, environmental or natural science, or related field with two years of public lands experience.
• Or graduation from high school with four years of related experience; or one year as State Land Agent I in Nevada.
• Equivalent education and experience combinations may apply.

Responsabilités

• Acquire land and interests through negotiations or condemnation.
• Calculate fair market value and review independent appraisals when required.
• Negotiate agreements for best price and use; prepare escrow closing documents.
• Manage unassigned state land; inspect parcels and ensure best use.
• Review projects for roads, structures, and utilities; ensure compliance.
