The State Human Resource Analyst I position is located in the Central Classification and Compensation section. The analyst will interpret human resource laws and regulations, provide technical guidance, conduct research and special reviews, and prepare statistical and narrative reports.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, OR one year of professional human resource experience, OR two years of paraprofessional/administrative support work in human resources
• Six months experience in advanced Microsoft Excel functionality including formulas, data manipulation, and linking spreadsheets (preferred)
• Ability to analyze and interpret state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and policies
• Research skills including data collection, analysis, and interpretation from multiple sources
• Proficiency with automated information systems and computer software for human resource data review and reporting
• Effective communication and collaboration across diverse cultures and abilities
