The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is hiring a permanent Facility Operations Assistant 1, SG-6 to work at the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY. The role cleans and maintains event facilities, provides event services such as set-up, equipment operation, and post-event cleanup for year-round events and the State Fair.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek (Thursday through Monday, 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM) with comprehensive benefits, including health and dental coverage,

Qualifications

• There are no education or experience qualifications for this class.
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

• Clean and maintain event facilities and provide event services (set-up, equipment operation, post-event cleanup).
• Operate vehicles/equipment for snow removal and groundskeeping as needed.
• Work in a crew on specific assignments at the New York State Fairgrounds.

Connaissances

Valid NYS driver's license
