Job summary

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking a State Fair Administrator Trainee or Administrator to lead event operations at the Great New York State Fair. Based at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, you will oversee staff, logistics, contracts, and on-site services to ensure flawless, compliant events.

You will coordinate with internal departments, review applications and contracts, manage finances, and direct setup/breakdown of fairgrounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and coordinating events, exhibits, and facilities to maximize use and profitability.
• Ability to review contracts for accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to supervise event staff and direct logistics.
