Job summary

The Department of Military Affairs in Florida seeks a State Domestic Operations Officer to coordinate the Current Operations Cell across the Joint Force Headquarters, JOC, and associated plans. The role requires substantial Homeland Security and emergency management experience, with emphasis on information systems and incident response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Six years of professional experience in Homeland Security, Emergency Management and Public Safety with emphasis on information technology and disaster preparedness or related field.
• Education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, training, and execution of the Current Operations Cell, including JFHQ-FL JOC and core competencies.
• Maintain/update JOPLAN, JOCSOP, ABS SOP, CEMP and NGCC SOPs; manage COP and SITREPs, LOGSTATS, PERSTATs, SIRs, SPOTREPs.
• Oversee information systems (WebEOC, HSIN, APAN, GKO, SharePoint, DCS) ensuring compliance and usability.
• Gatekeeper for the SIR process to satisfy CCIRs and notify FLNG senior leadership as required.
• Assist in publishing OPS ORD, WARNORD, and OPLAN; support COP, JOC, SOPs, checklists and continuity materials.
