Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting is seeking an Operations Section Chief to lead field operations from the CO EOC, coordinating with state and local agencies during disaster responses. This is a temporary, on-site role with 12-hour shifts, requiring travel to CO locations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Emergency Management, 5+ years in the field, and proficiency with ICS and MS Office; IS-100/200/300/400/700/800 courses are required prior to task book. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or related field.
• Experience with Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels.
• Experience in Emergency Operations Center or disaster response with supervisory or key support role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
• Complete IS-100, IS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700, IS-800, E/G/L-0191, E/L-0958, O-0305 before requesting task book.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate priority missions and resource deployment with Operations Section Branch Directors.
• Collaborate with AHIMT Unit Leader to deploy teams and manage mutual aid.
• Identify resource needs and communicate to Logistics Section Chief.
• Ensure SERT objectives meet local needs by coordinating with field staff.
• Deploy and maintain communications with liaisons in affected areas.
• Participate in Incident Action Plan meetings and provide operational perspective.
• Conduct operational meetings with ESFs to resolve issues and coordinate with other sections.
• Manage tactical incident activities and oversee IAP implementation.
• Translate leadership decisions into action across responders.
