Job summary

WaTech’s State Data Center is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Specialist to support electrical and mechanical systems and hardware deployments across Olympia and Quincy Data Centers. You will implement DCIM plans, coordinate MAC activities, and ensure safety and uptime in critical environment facilities.

Ideal candidates bring nine years in data center operations, CE infrastructure experience, OSHA/WISHA familiarity, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Nine years of experience in data center operations or a similar facility.
• Bachelor’s degree or certificate substitution allowed for up to four years of experience.
• Three years in CE infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, generator, fire suppression).
• Two years’ OSHA/WISHA rules experience in office or data center environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
• Ability to learn quickly and meet others' needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document DCIM plans for equipment power.
• Coordinate calendar entries for installations, access, and notifications.
• Plan and oversee data center hardware installations in Olympia and Quincy centers.
• Oversee MAC activities for CE to ensure standards and timely execution.
• Provide input for acquisition plans and supplier quotes.
• Respond to incidents to limit damage and costs.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and service calls.
