Assist NDT Technicians with inspections of structures, pipelines, or other components and materials using x-ray, ultrasound, or related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and utilization of equipment for non-destructive testing in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
• Support NDT inspections such as gamma radiography, x-ray radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and visual inspections.
• Help in selecting, preparing, calibrating, and operating testing equipment.
• Identify defects in materials using testing techniques.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain a safe driving record.
• Learn from Lead Technicians and perform assigned tasks.
• Follow safety instructions to ensure team safety.

Additional Duties

• Perform cleaning and minor maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to following safety policies.
• Ability to work demanding and flexible schedules, including long hours and short-notice call-outs.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently and up to 150 pounds with assistance, and work at heights or in confined spaces.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability through PROtect LLC insurance.
• State Card preferred.
• Some relevant work experience is preferred.
