Job Description

MAIN ROLE:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of equipment for wire rolling.
  • Perform calibration or fine-tuning of wire rolling equipment.
  • Remove/repair defective parts by dismantling devices, use hand and power tools.
  • Lubricates and Clean Parts.
  • Support for tool changes on wire drawing machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to wear required PPE such as steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, earplugs and hard hat.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, adhere and comply with state federal law, company policies, safety

and environmental regulations.

  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • MINIMUM: High School
  • DESIRABLE: Mechanical Technician

EXPERIENCE:

  • MINIMUM: A year as a mechanic's helper and maintenance
  • DESIRABLE: Two or more years as maintenance mechanic’s

LANGUAGE:

  • Bilingual (not essential)
  • Spanish required

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Basic knowledge of using the computer

SKILLS:

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and overhead cranes.
  • Know how to use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure and weighing scale)
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Able to lift, carry, pull and push 50lb unassisted.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instruction.
