Job summary

AbbVie in Durham, North Carolina, is recruiting a Project Manager to lead engineering projects that support manufacturing, R&D, and infrastructure. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while delivering operational improvements and business value.

You will coordinate cross functional teams, drive new systems and equipment installations, ensure quality and safety compliance, and mentor junior engineers throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced education and experience; with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline and 7+ years relevant industry experience.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing environment is required.
• PM experience with startup exposure; PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define project design and engineering planning for assigned projects.
• Lead system, equipment, and technology installations, ensuring safe integration and on-time delivery.
• Assess project processes and resolve operational or technical issues.
• Deliver operational improvements and business value delivery through project execution.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate progress, impacts and mitigations to project leads and stakeholders.
