PROENERGY in Arlington, AZ seeks a dependable Startup Mechanical Laborer to support commissioning and startup of power generation facilities. The role involves assisting in installation, alignment, testing, and startup documentation on large EPC projects.

Travel approximately 90% is required; candidate should be able to lift 75 pounds, work in harsh environments, and follow safety procedures. This is a field-based, hands-on position with immediate start and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow basic instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work in harsh environments, in stressful situations and during unsociable hours.
• Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical technicians and engineers with installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Perform general labor tasks such as material handling, equipment setup, and site cleanup.
• Help prepare and maintain startup documentation, including test records and punch lists.
• Perform material handling, equipment setup, and general labor tasks to support startup crews.
• Follow instructions from startup engineers and electricians to ensure safe and efficient work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all site safety protocols.
