Job summary

Nelson County Schools District Wide in Bardstown, Kentucky, is seeking a Start Strong Classroom Assistant to support instruction for individual or small groups, including exceptional children or preschool programs. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• One year experience working with children in an organized setting preferred.
• Previous training or experience at an accredited Child Care Center preferred.
• Ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
• Patience and excellent communication, observational, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups, reinforcing and implementing instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Prepare and organize lessons as directed by the Center Lead; administer and score tests as required.
• Monitor and report student progress; observe, guide, supervise and assess students in the classroom environment.
• Maintain classroom records, attendance records and相关 materials; assist with lab and class activities.
• Provide emotional support, guidance, and a friendly attitude to students.
• Confer with teachers about programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Ensure health and safety of students following proper practices and regulations.
