Job summary

Mental Health America of South Central Kansas is seeking a START Coordinator to deliver START services, conduct screenings, intakes, and comprehensive evaluations, and document admissions and discharges.

You will maintain an active caseload, coordinate crisis prevention plans, engage with families and partner agencies, and participate in national START activities, with onsite work and defined remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or human services required; master's degree preferred.
• At least two years of experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs.
• Ability to obtain START Coordinator certification within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Complete START screenings, intake assessments, Comprehensive Service Evaluations, and required documentation.
• Maintain an active caseload and adjust service intensity based on need.
• Provide outreach in individuals' homes, day programs, vocational settings, and community locations.
• Coordinate crisis prevention and intervention plans with families, providers, and cross-system partners.
• Participate in the Center for START Services National Network and related activities.
