Qualifications

• MD/DO/APRN licensed to practice in the state.
• Extensive experience treating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Experience addressing co-occurring mental health and medical needs with multidisciplinary providers.
• Ability to provide consultation, training, assessment and follow-up in START settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychiatric and medical consultation and training to the clinical team and supports staff.
• Coordinates with treating physicians and hospitals, contributing to treatment planning and decisions.
• Reviews health needs, completes assessments, and follows up with recommendations.
• Participates in monthly Clinical Education Team meetings and supports the Clinical Director with training and planning.
• Documents assessments, consultations, and follow-up in appropriate records and maintains licensure.
