Right at Home - Monterey Bay is hiring Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in the Monterey Bay area. Immediate openings with day and night shifts; you’ll receive paid training, travel time coverage, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete onboarding paperwork

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transfers
• Light housekeeping up to 20% of tasks
• Meal preparation and snacks
• Accompanying clients to errands or medical appointments
• Bathing and grooming assistance
• Medication reminders
• Range of motion support as prescribed
• Dementia care and companionship activities

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20%performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)?
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
