Right at Home Monterey Bay is actively hiring caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in the local community. Join a company with over 25 years of experience that emphasizes compassionate, high-quality in-home care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas.
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care activities to assist with daily living.
• No more than 20% housekeeping activities.
• Prepare meals and snacks as directed.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and shaving.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support with range-of-motion exercises and dementia care.
• Offer companionship through reading, music, and activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (Family members or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Payrate: $18.00 - $22.00

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20%performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)?
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
