Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Test Engineer for the Starship program in the United States to help design, build, and execute large system-level static and dynamic structural tests on Starship hardware.

You will collaborate with vehicle engineers, develop test procedures, operate test stands, and guide technicians through instrumentation, pressurization, and data acquisition work while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of testing, mechanical or data acquisition work.
• Experience with control system design is a plus.
• Ability to learn new skills quickly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute static and dynamic structural tests for Starship.
• Design, modify, and build mechanical systems including weldments.
• Design and troubleshoot fluid systems, including cryogenic propellants and hydraulic controls.
• Develop and maintain test procedures, sequences, and software.
• Operate the test stand from setup to execution with a small team.
• Review data manually or via scripts.
