Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Process Engineer focused on Starship build reliability to help develop global manufacturing procedures and improve quality through efficient production. You will work on fabrication methods, tooling design, inspection, data collection, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements and mitigate build-induced vehicle risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering (student projects/internships count).
• Experience with build, assembly, or integration of structures or aerospace components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing, integration, assembly, welding, NDE, cleanliness, and checkouts processes from the ground up across work centers.
• Design and implement tooling for testing, fixturing, lifting, rigging, and fluids.
• Define and document inspection requirements and procedures; create training for production and inspection processes.
