Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer (Starship) to join Starbase's fast-paced engineering team. You will help design, build, and improve fluid systems that support Starship launches, with hands-on problem solving, rapid iteration, and a data-driven approach.

You will develop tools and dashboards in Excel/SQL/Python, work with cross-functional teams, and own process improvements to keep production moving under tight deadlines and high reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years in production/manufacturing/test/launch engineering.
• 1+ years using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for data analysis or scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational challenges and drive process improvements with ownership.
• Create and maintain software tools and dashboards (Excel, SQL, Python).
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to synchronize efforts.
• Develop tools to track KPIs and perform statistical analysis.
• Provide rapid feedback to launch and fabrication teams.
• Independently evaluate complex problems and propose practical solutions.
• Hands-on approach to addressing production or engineering issues.
