Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, TX is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Starship Pad Build) to supervise a labor force and contractors, directing day-to-day site management on a high‑impact program. You will manage logistics, safety, budgets, and coordination with engineering and facilities teams, while occasionally performing hands-on skilled trades.

The role requires a strong safety culture, multi-disciplinary coordination, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment near Starbase.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience in the construction or aerospace industries with experience leading or coordinating a labor force.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with a trade skill such as welding, tubing, vertical building, integration, machining, fabrication, or heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and own the day-to-day site management of a fast-paced construction project.
• Plan, implement, and enforce construction site logistics to enable project goals and schedule.
• Manage site assets, trailers, restrooms, rental equipment, and safety policies.
• Coordinate and resolve field conflicts between contractors and internal partners daily.
• Provide budgetary costs, gather proposals, and manage contracts for sub-projects.
• Support hands-on skilled trade work when necessary (~10% of the time).
• Ensure compliance with SpaceX safety policies and local regulations.
• Maintain daily operation logs and communicate progress to management.
• Be responsible for contractor badging processes and health/safety culture.
