Job summary

SpaceX is hiring an Operations Engineer (Starship) to join the Starbase team. You will help design, build, activate, and improve fluid systems for Starship, solving real pad problems daily in a demanding launch program.

Responsibilities include developing dashboards, collaborating across teams, and implementing process improvements while maintaining a hands-on approach to production and engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.
• 1+ years of production/maintenance/launch engineering experience.
• 1+ years of experience using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for data analysis or scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with shop and field teams to identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvements.
• Create and maintain software tools and dashboards (Excel, SQL, Python) to empower design teams and scale production of Starship launch infrastructure.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to synchronize efforts across flight hardware logistics, supply chain, engineering, operations, and launch groups.
• Develop tools to track KPIs, perform statistical analysis, and support data-driven decisions to optimize processes.
• Maintain rapid feedback with launch and fabrication teams to quickly adjust processes.
