Job summary

SpaceX in Texas seeks a Launch Operations Engineer (Starship) to lead on-console flight control and test activities across the launch process. You’ll develop plans, review hardware readiness, and optimize procedures for reliable flight operations.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment, applying strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems, with a focus on safety and mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, chemical or related field)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with complex mechanical, structural, fluid, and electronic systems
• Experience with analytical data review tools and numerical methods

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-console flight controllers during launch events
• Test integrated rocket hardware to determine suitability for flight
• Provide on-console engineering support for technicians during daily test/launch stand operations
• Write and review control logic/automation for test & launch systems
• Perform real-time and post-op data review to evaluate system performance
• Identify improvements to launch/test procedures for higher capability
