Starship Manufacturing Engineer (High-Rate, Automation)

Spacex; Starbase (TX); Presencial; USD 100.000 - 150.000; Jornada completa

Descripción de la vacante

SpaceX is seeking a Starship Engineer to develop and qualify processes for high-rate manufacturing of propulsion, avionics, and welded structures. You will emphasize design for manufacturing, poka-yoke systems, and automation to minimize takt and cycle times.

You will design tooling, automate processes, and work with design teams to influence flight vehicle architecture while improving yield and reducing cycle time on production lines.

Formación

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of manufacturing and process design experience (internship and academic experience acceptable).
• Master's degree in engineering preferred; hands-on project experience with mixed value stream or high-rate manufacturing lines.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and perform acceptance testing of manufacturing processes, techniques, and tools for high-rate production.
• Design and implement precision tooling to reduce assembly errors and cycle times.
• Automate novel processes to ensure repeatability on high-rate lines.
• Collaborate with design teams to influence flight design and vehicle architecture with manufacturing improvements.
• Develop or automate in-situ inspection to increase yield and reduce cycle time.
