Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Logistician (Starship) to oversee flight hardware packaging, shipping, GSE inventory, and transport readiness to support launches. You will coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with DOT/CFR regulations.

The role emphasizes a team-driven culture, readiness for extended hours or weekend work, and potential travel to other SpaceX locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, business administration, or supply chain; OR 2+ years of professional experience with logistics or scheduling
• Experience with ERP systems for receiving and inventory
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and CFR (code of federal regulations)
• Ability to maintain a positive working attitude under stress and a team-driven approach
• Knowledge of HazMat shipping and ordnance handling
• Knowledge of onsite and offsite transportation requirements, including over the road shipping
• Willingness to travel to other SpaceX locations as needed and ability to pass background checks

Responsibilities

• Oversee transport coordination of flight hardware and support equipment for safe launches
• Provide input in DOT/CFR compliance for transport hardware development
• Coordinate transport interfacing with manufacturing, engineering, mission management, and vendors
• Ensure transport readiness and direct transport technicians as needed
• Utilize master production schedules to coordinate resources
• Document and coordinate packaging of flight vehicles and equipment
• Create reports, presentations, and metrics to support company objectives
• Develop and implement long-term objectives for logistic activities and company growth
