Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking a Sr. Logistician (Starship) to oversee flight hardware packaging, GSE inventory, and transport for launch manifests, while maintaining a safe, team-driven work environment as we pursue manned missions and Mars.

The role requires coordinating transport, ensuring DOT/CFR compliance, interfacing with manufacturing, engineering, mission management, and vendors, and developing reports and metrics to add value to the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, operations management, business administration, or supply chain with 5+ years of logistics or scheduling experience.
• Alternative: 7+ years of logistics or scheduling experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the transport coordination of flight hardware and support equipment to ensure safe and successful launches.
• Provide input and recommendations in DOT/CFR regulations to logistics and manufacturing for equipment development and improvement.
• Coordinate transport of flight hardware with manufacturing, engineering, mission management, and outside vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate transport readiness of equipment and direct transport technicians as needed.
• Use master production schedules to align resources and ensure availability of teams and equipment.
• Develop and coordinate packaging of flight vehicles, modules, and equipment with engineering and production.
• Create/maintain reports, presentations, and metrics to add value to the organization.
• Manage development and implementation of annual and long-term objectives for logistics activities.
