Job summary

2020 Companies, in partnership with Starlink, is hiring part-time Retail Sales & Activation Specialists at Best Buy Midland, TX. You will guide shoppers through Starlink residential and mobile internet options and serve as the knowledge expert in-store.

You will build relationships, demonstrate products, and help customers decide on the right Starlink service. The role includes training provided online or at home, weekend shifts, and seasonal dates 7/27/26 through 11/01/26.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of sales/retail experience preferred.
• Ability to engage customers and demonstrate products.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliability and willingness to engage with customers and store teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and demonstrate Starlink services to meet needs.
• Explain benefits and act as the in-store subject matter expert.
• Represent Starlink and 2020 Companies professionally to customers and staff.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to team success.
• Submit daily reports via mobile device and track customer interactions.
• Work weekends with a consistent Friday–Sunday schedule and maintain routing with store partners.

Total: Up to $22/hr. earning potential

Schedule: 16-20 hours per week - Friday to Sunday availability required

About The Role

In this exciting role, you'll work closely with retail shoppers to recommend the perfect Starlink residential and mobile internet products to meet their unique needs. You'll be the subject matter expert for customers seeking information on Starlink's services, ensuring they have an interactive and informative shopping experience. Building relationships within a retail environment and having a technology-first mindset are key as you explain the benefits of Starlink satellite internet. Our team fully provides all technology training.

Job Description

• Engage Customers and Demonstrate: Showcase the latest Starlink services and help customers see how they can enhance their internet needs
• Build Trust and Drive Sales: Build trust by understanding customer needs and confidently recommending the perfect Starlink service by being the subject matter expert

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• A minimum of six months of experience in sales, electronics, retail, telecom, or marketing is preferred
• The ability to engage, demonstrate, and engage customers in the sales process is necessary
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential
• Impeccable integrity and a genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations are crucial
• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Availability to work weekends
• Own a smartphone with the current Apple iOS software or current Android software
• Reliable transportation to arrive on time for scheduled visits
