Job summary

SpaceX's Starlink production team is seeking a skilled technician to fabricate electromechanical production and test systems, assemble complex tooling, and collaborate with engineers to scale workflows from prototype to high-volume production.

You will read mechanical drawings and schematics, apply GD&T, work with mills, lathes, welding, brakes, presses and CNC processes, maintain 5S in the shop, and support safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 3+ years of mechanical fabrication experience (assembly, welding, machining, hand tools).
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and schematics; basic GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate electromechanical production and test systems; collaborate with engineering to deliver solutions.
• Assemble complex integrated tooling and equipment; perform precision fabrication.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and build instructions for tooling and assembly.
• Maintain shop operations, enforce safety, organize inventory and consumables.
• Apply 5S principles to sustain an efficient workspace.
• Support continuous improvement by proposing tooling/design enhancements.
