Job summary

The A.E.R.O Special Education Cooperative in Burbank, IL seeks a Special Education Teacher for the STAR Program (Elem: K-5) for the 26-27 school year.

You will collaborate with IEP teams, serve as case manager, and implement individualized goals, while using the center's resources to support students with disabilities. A collaborative environment supports whole-class, 1:1 and small-group activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a registered Illinois LBSI / Professional Educator License.
• ISBE approval to teach EC SPED where required must be current.
• Experience with IEP/504 processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility as case manager for each student as determined by the IEP/504 process, including facilitation of IEP meetings.
• Develop and implement Individual Educational Programs for students with varying functional levels.
• Prepare written materials including goals, objectives, summaries/reports for meetings pertaining to student performance.
• Plan daily lessons and weekly schedules to align individual objectives with group activities.
