Job summary

A.E.R.O Special Education Cooperative in Burbank, IL seeks an English Learner (EL) Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The role focuses on integrating EL services with special education, aligning instruction to IEP goals, and supporting students from various levels of language proficiency.

The candidate will collaborate with SPED staff, implement language development strategies using WIDA, and ensure compliance with IDEA and ACCESS testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English Language Development (ELD) for students with disabilities, using WIDA standards.
• Collaborates with SPED teachers and related services to deliver integrated instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Differentiates instruction across language proficiency levels and abilities.
• Practices culturally and linguistically responsive teaching.
• Uses language proficiency data and IEP progress to inform instruction.
• Maintains compliance with IDEA and EL program requirements including ACCESS testing.

Responsibilities
