Job summary

A.E.R.O, the Special Education Cooperative based in Burbank, IL, is seeking a School Social Worker for the AERO Programs. The position covers the 26-27 school year and requires collaboration with IEP teams to support students with disabilities across member districts.

The role emphasizes developing individualized educational plans, assessing student progress, maintaining records, and coordinating a team to implement behavior interventions and related supports within a therapeutic center

Qualifications

• Hold a registered, valid Illinois Professional Educator License, Type 73 Certificate for School Social Worker.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibilities for continued professional growth, to achieve and maintain high standards of professional competence.
• Develop and implement individual educational programs for students with varying functional levels.
• Evaluate and assess student functioning and progress.
• Prepare social developmental history for case study.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records for each student’s performance and attendance, including but not limited to pre-post testing, anecdotal records and developmental/academic/behavioral scales.
• Prepare necessary written materials, including goals, objectives, summaries/reports for all meetings pertaining to student performance.
• Coordination of team to establish functional analysis of behavior, develop behavior intervention plans and appropriate behavior strategies.
