Job summary

ESPEC North America Inc. is seeking an Assembler for our Standard Final Assembly Department. Work in a clean environment with a 4-day work week and overtime on Friday, no mandatory weekend work, and opportunities for advancement.

Hours: Full-time, 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, with occasional Friday overtime.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including tablet use.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to use small and power tools.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Able to read electrical schematics.
• Able to build from electrical, plumbing, and fabrication drawings.
• Approximately 1 year in industrial manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mounts and wires assemblies.
• Calculates box and conduit fill.
• Follows standard work instructions to complete assemblies.
• Reads ladder schematics and builds per prints.
• Keeps track of part numbers, locations and descriptions.
• Daily use of hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and knives.
• Regularly reads a tape measure.
• Cuts wire and runs seal tight; may braze after on-site training.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to Guiding Principles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mounts and wires assemblies.
• Calculates box and conduit fill.
• Utilizes standard work instructions to complete assemblies.
• Understands ladder schematics and builds according to prints.
• Understands part numbers, locations, and descriptions.
• Daily use of hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and knives.
• Frequently reads a tape measure.
• Cuts wire, runs seal tight.
• May perform brazing duties, only after on-site training has been provided.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Regular physical attendance is required.
• Understands and abides by the Guiding Principles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Skills and Experience

• Computer skills, including the use of tablet, required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
• Ability to read a tape measure required.
• Ability to use small hand tools and power tools required.
• Experience with electrical wiring required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics required.
• Ability to build using electrical, plumbing, & fabrication drawings, required.
• 1 year of experience with industrial manufacturing preferred.
