Job summary

ESPEC North America is hiring an Assembler for the Standard Final Assembly Department in Hudsonville, MI. You will mount and wire assemblies, read prints, and use hand and power tools in a clean environment with a focus on quality and safety.

The role offers a 4-day work week with some overtime on Friday, no mandatory weekend work, and opportunities for advancement. Hours are 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Thursday, full-time.

Qualifications

  • Requires High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient with computer/tablet use.
  • Able to read and perform basic math.
  • Able to read a tape measure.
  • Able to use small hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience with electrical wiring and reading electrical schematics.
  • Ability to build from electrical, plumbing & fabrication drawings.
  • 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mounts and wires assemblies.
  • Calculates box and conduit fill.
  • Uses standard work instructions to complete assemblies.
  • Understands ladder schematics and builds per prints.
  • Understands part numbers, locations, and descriptions.
  • Daily use of hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and knives.
  • Reads a tape measure regularly.
  • Cuts wire and runs seal tight; may perform brazing after training.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintains regular attendance and follows Guiding Principles.

We are currently hiring an Assembler for our Standard Final Assembly Department. Hours: Full-time, 6:00am-4:30pm M-TH, some Friday OT.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mounts and wires assemblies.
  • Calculates box and conduit fill.
  • Utilizes standard work instructions to complete assemblies.
  • Understands ladder schematics and builds according to prints.
  • Understands part numbers, locations, and descriptions.
  • Daily use of hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and knives.
  • Frequently reads a tape measure.
  • Cuts wire, runs seal tight.
  • May perform brazing duties, only after on-site training has been provided.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
  • Understands and abides by the Guiding Principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Skills And Experience

  • Computer skills, including the use of tablet, required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure required.
  • Ability to use small hand tools and power tools required.
  • Experience with electrical wiring required.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics required.
  • Ability to build using electrical, plumbing, & fabrication drawings, required.
  • 1 year of experience with industrial manufacturing preferred.
