Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital seeks an experienced nursing leader for the Emergency Department. This role provides administrative and operational oversight across financial, HR, and clinical domains to drive quality and patient outcomes.

You will mentor rising nursing leaders, participate in succession planning, and contribute to professional development while ensuring exceptional patient care. On-site leadership is required in the fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia or eligibility to practice under NLC/eNLC upon hire.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient) or clinical (outpatient) setting, with at least one (1) year in a leadership role.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
• Current Georgia RN license (or eligibility) and BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational oversight for the assigned department.
• Oversee financial performance, human resources, daily operations, quality of care, and patient/physician experience.
• Lead change management and contribute to Shared Governance and Nursing Professional Practice.
• Support succession planning, mentorship, education, and professional development of nursing staff.
• Provide direct clinical support when needed to ensure high-quality care.
