General Stamping & Metalworks seeks a Stamping Press Operator in South Bend, IN to operate manual or coil-fed stamping presses and produce parts per customer specifications. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time production, with strict adherence to ISO policies.

Responsibilities include reading prints for tolerances, documenting output, and collaborating with technicians and supervisors. A high school diploma and manufacturing experience are preferred; a shift premium of $2 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 6 months in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping presses to produce metal parts per customer print specifications.
• Ensure safety, productivity, and on-time production goals are met.
• Record machine errors and communicate performance issues to supervisors or technicians.
• Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and fixtures per inspection plan.
• Document job information and inspection results in the ERP system.
