Job summary

General Stamping & Metalworks in South Bend, IN is seeking a Production Lead to train employees to departmental standards and oversee machine operation. You will ensure training documents stay current and assess worker skills while reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Experience in manufacturing environment required; metal fabrication preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Train employees to departmental standards and best practices.
• Oversee operation of manufacturing equipment within the department.
• Collaborate to update training documents reflecting current processes.
• Assess and record employee skills; develop assessment tools.
• Monitor progress and communicate with supervisors and Training Manager.
• Maintain expertise on all equipment in the department.
• Solve departmental problems related to machines, staff, materials, and processes.
