Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) seeks an Equipment Maintenance Stamping Maintenance Assistant Manager to lead the stamping shop maintenance programs and drive continuous improvement. You will coordinate downtime improvements, develop action plans, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while mentoring a multi-member team.

The role requires 5+ years in automated plant maintenance, experience leading 15+ staff, and proficiency in electrical/mechanical drawings and AB PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years maintenance experience in automated plants.
• Experience managing 15+ team members.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and specs.
• AB PLC program and control circuit experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and perform technical maintenance in the stamping shop to meet plant goals.
• Report on task status at start, during and after completion.
• Develop action plans for downtime, PM plans, and equipment improvements.
• Prepare training plans to raise team skill levels.
• Execute annual operation plans and report progress.
• Mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and procurement of materials.

JOB TITLE

Equipment Maintenance Stamping Maintenance Assistant Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Coordinates, monitors, and performs technical processes related to Stamping shop in maintenance department to meet company goals.
• Report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during and conclusion.
• Develop detail action plan to meet shop wise maintenance index. (Downtime, PM Plan & Actual, Equipment monitoring system, Equipment improvements, Safety/Environmental etc.)
• Prepare detail training plan for each team member to meet skill level target of each section.
• Prepare & execute annual operation plan and report status of each task.
• Support MGR to encourage good teamwork. (Meeting, Events, Collaboration)
• Analysis Stamping shop downtime and provide improvement plan.
• Need Flexible work schedule based on department shift rotation plan and can be requested to take care any urgent equipment issue (Night, Weekends, Holiday
• Monitor purchasing, distribution and inventory control of maintenance material. (include Tools, Subsidiary materials etc.)
• Analysis shop wise maintenance budget of the year.
• Need good communication with MGR to supervise and control conflicts in the organization and take care individual distress from the work.
• Need to be a mentor for all staffs and shop members to encourage continuous improvement

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

• More than 5 years maintenance career in the field of automated plants.
• Experience in managing more than 15 team members.
• Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• More than 2 years Stamping shop maintenance career in major automotive industry
• Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications
• AB PLC program and control circuit experience
• Performed many equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection and testing new/modified equipment and processes
• Domestic / International travel required.

Physical Demands

While in Office: This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
