Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in GA seeks Equipment Maintenance Stamping Maintenance Group Leader to supervise and coordinate maintenance for stamping lines, ensuring uptime and safety across shifts.

You will lead a team of technicians, perform PMs, troubleshoot PLCs, robots, and hydraulic systems, and liaise with production and engineering to improve MTTR/MTBF.

The role requires extensive experience in stamping equipment and a commitment to continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years maintenance career in automated industry.
• Experience managing more than 8 team members, minimum as a team leader.
• Electrical & Mechanical troubleshooting experience (PLC, Power circuit, inverter & motors)
• Tech College graduation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment (certified apprenticeship, etc.)
• Stamping Maintenance career in major automotive manufacturers
• Robot & Hydraulic system maintenance experience (Fanuc robots)
• Stamping system maintenance experience (500 tons or above)
• Servo Tandem Press Experience with NC Cushion
• Rockwell PLC and HMI programming/troubleshooting
• Domestic / International travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and coach TM’s activities as a 1st line supervisor in GA maintenance to meet section’s goals.
• Follow HMGMA shift rotation plan based on production and sales plan.
• Manage daily PM activities and PM system to maintain stable equipment operation.
• Report on status of assigned tasks at start, during, and end.
• Troubleshooting, PM activities, and requests from superiors.
• Support urgent requests regarding equipment issues (night, weekends, holidays).
• Ensure safety and environmental guidelines are followed during maintenance.
• Mentor shop members to encourage continuous improvement.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Maintain spare parts, training room, and team center.
• Collaborate with AM to manage conflicts and teamwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Breakdown management support and reporting to improve MTTR/MTBF performance.
• Coordinate/Approve/Report improvement ideas from TMs to resolve issues.

JOB TITLE

Equipment Maintenance Stamping Maintenance Group Leader

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Coordinating & Coaching TM’s activities as a 1st line supervisor in GA maintenance to meet section’s goals. (PM / Down Time / Skill Level)
• Need to follow HMGMA shift rotation plan based on HMGMA sales & production plan.
• (3shift or 4crews + 2shift rotation including holidays, final rotation TBD)
• Carry out and report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during and conclusion.
• (Trouble shooting, PM activities and all other requests from superiors)
• Need full support for urgent requests regarding equipment issues (Night, Weekends, Holidays)
• Be sure to comply with Safety & Environmental guidelines while performing any maintenance activities.
• Should have pre-approval from direct management to use personal leave.
• Support all levels of management to encourage good teamwork. (Meeting, Events, Collaboration)
• Performs other related duties as assigned by department management as needed, including outside of regular daily work scope.
• Manage daily PM activities based on PM system (Manpower, Plan-Results, PM Quality) to maintain stable equipment operation condition in each shop.
• Manage team training and development.
• Breakdown management support and reporting to improve shop MTTR/MTBF performance.
• Coordinate/Approve/Report improvement idea from TMs to resolve any issue.
• Have 1st responsibility to maintain spare parts / team center / training room.
• Need good communication with AM to supervise and control conflicts in the organization and support any team member issues.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Need to be a mentor for all shop members to encourage continuous improvement.

Physical Demands

While in Office: This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
