Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship or Journeyman certification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in die design.
• Strong skills in CAD software, forming analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create strip layouts and design stamping dies, gauges, fixtures, and tooling.
• Support quoting efforts with accurate layout proposals.
• Apply forming simulation software to optimize tool function.
• Participate in design reviews and process planning meetings.
• Provide technical support to the toolroom during die construction.
• Source and quote purchased die components as part of complete design packages.
• Recommend materials, components, and construction methods to enhance tool longevity and performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace.
