Job summary

Milwaukee Succeeds is seeking a Die Designer to join our tooling and engineering team in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will design metal stamping dies, tools, fixtures, gauges, and assembly equipment, while collaborating with engineering and production to improve processes.

With a Tool & Die Maker Journeyman Card and 2+ years of die design experience, you will create end-strip layouts for quotes and die development, and lead design reviews to solve tooling challenges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of die design experience.
• Experience designing metal stamping dies and related tooling.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and computer proficiency.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design metal stamping dies, tools, fixtures, gauges, and assembly equipment.
• Create end-strip layouts for quoting, estimating, and die development.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop efficient metal forming processes.
• Utilize forming analysis software to optimize die performance and manufacturability.
• Lead design reviews and provide solutions to tooling and process challenges.
• Support toolmakers in the machining and development of complex die components.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve overall tooling efficiency.
