Stagehand

The Stagehand position is responsible for assisting the Production Manager with the technical aspects of the theatre operations including theatre maintenance, load‑ins, load‑outs, rehearsals, performances, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Production Manager with all technical aspects of theatre operations.
  • Support theatre maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with load‑ins, load‑outs, rehearsals, and performances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse clientele.
  • Dependability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and/or training in technical theatre.
Driving

Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.

Work Hours
  • Vary depending on Davis Theatre needs.
  • Ability to work extensive hours, including evenings and weekends.
Hazardous Conditions / Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing to assist with theatre maintenance, including changing light bulbs.
