Job summary

asmglobal seeks a skilled stage technician to support events at Capital One Hall in Tysons, VA. You will set up and operate in-house A/V gear, assist with lighting and rigging, and ensure smooth transitions between show segments.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 75 lbs. The role may require standing long hours and working outside normal hours during events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procedures, techniques, machines, materials, and tools used in technical construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of lighting, sound, audiovisual, and rigging equipment.
• Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, and others.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and related materials.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate clearly.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Position requires ability to:

• Demonstrate proper knowledge and use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment, and tools used in technical construction and maintenance.
• Demonstrate proper knowledge and technique in the use of lighting, sound, audiovisual, and rigging equipment used Capital One Hall
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered while working.
• Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written forms.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
