Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in prop design/prop construction/stage equipment areas.
- Associate degree with coursework in theatre arts/technical theatre or related field and 3+ years in two or more areas.
- Bachelor's degree in theatre arts/technical theatre/fine arts/lighting/stage design and 2+ years in two or more areas.
- Graduate degree in theatre arts/technical theatre/fine arts/lighting/stage design and 1+ year in two or more areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for rigging, lighting, sound, and set construction for live events.
- Coordinate use of performing arts center and open center for events; check equipment for proper operation.
- Prepare sound for productions using mixers and sound consoles; create sound effects per Technical Director.
- Operate lighting, video, and multimedia equipment; prepare lighting for productions.
