Job summary

Mohegan Sun seeks an experienced lighting professional to manage all aspects of entertainment lighting, including drafting plots, load-ins/outs, programming and operating lighting consoles, and overseeing the lighting crew for shows and events.

You will design lighting for entertainment and special events, maintain and repair lighting gear, and ensure safe operation of power and data systems across the property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or Bachelor’s in Theatrical/Entertainment Lighting.
• Three years of experience with entertainment/theatrical lighting equipment, lighting consoles, and related systems may substitute a degree.
• Knowledgeable in operation of professional lighting equipment.
• Experience in Live Event, Theatrical, or Architectural lighting design.
• Knowledge of Vectorworks or CAD software.
• Knowledge of GrandMA2/3 or other entertainment lighting consoles.
• Knowledge of temporary power & data distribution for entertainment lighting.

Responsibilities

• Load in and load out shows.
• Lead lighting crew for LD or Dimmer Tech/Power Person roles.
• Create lighting plots.
• Configure and hang trusses and lighting equipment for shows and events.
• Set up/install portable dimmers, power distribution and data distribution.
• Operate lighting control systems.
• Design lighting for entertainment and special events.
• Build, maintain and repair lighting fixtures and cables.
• Set up and operate follow spots and RoboSpots.
• Operate fork trucks, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Support casino lighting maintenance and projects.
