Job summary

City of Walnut Creek invites applications for Stage Door Attendant at the Lesher Center for the Arts. This part-time, hourly, non-benefited role involves public contact in a fast-paced theatre environment, with evenings, weekends, and extended hours.

Under supervision, you will support entry requirements, security, and operations across the three theatres, coordinating with staff and users while maintaining guest safety and a positive experience for audiences.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of experience in front line customer service or security.
• Experience in public-facing roles or security is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them to the Lesher Center.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and end-of-day lock up.
• Use the security system to check in/check out backstage participants.
• Manage security lists and badges for multiple user groups.
• Check in/check out keys and hand-held radios to staff.
• Operate a 6-channel hand-held radio system.
• Oversee video camera monitoring of front of house and backstage areas.
• Manage security operations during emergencies and evacuations.
• Enforce entry requirements and assist with audience check-in.
