Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an IT Desktop Support professional for an on-site role in Hickory, NC. The position is a 12-month assignment with Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM hours.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years hardware/software installation, troubleshooting and support.
• Advanced level of English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active Directory administration experience.
• Experience imaging and working with deployment server(s).
• Basic smart hands (network configuration) knowledge (Desired).
• Basic knowledge management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for service requests/incidents related to computer systems, software, hardware and infrastructure, onsite and remote.
• Diagnose and route tickets according to documented processes and supervisor guidance.
• Support Active Directory administration tasks and imaging/deployment server usage.
• Assist with VPN connectivity, antivirus remediation, and telephony device management.
• Handle ServiceNow ticket management and hardware inventory activities.
• Collaborate across teams for end-user moves, onboarding, and conference room support.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an IT Desktop Support Opportunity for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Hickory, NC. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Details:

• 12-month assignment, possibility of extension.
• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, On Site.
• The IT Desktop Support Technician will provide technical assistance and support for incoming service requests/incidents related to computer systems, software, hardware and infrastructure both in-person and remotely.
• Possess an aptitude for working with Microsoft-based applications (including Office suites).
• Will rely on internal training, previous knowledge, and informed judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve or route tickets accurately and in accordance with documented processes, and any other duties assigned at the direction of their supervisor.
• Active Directory Administration
• Limited support for corporate mobile devices
• Familiarity with cloud applications (Box, Office365, etc.)
• Troubleshooting Cisco VPN connectivity
• Remediating/minimizing anti-virus threats
• Remote connection/utilization
• Imaging and deployment server utilization
• Asset lifecycle management skills
• Various browser support (IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
• Installation/configuration of various Adobe products
• Installation/configuration of Check Point endpoint client software
• Printer/driver troubleshooting & installation
• IPT based Telephony Device Management
• ServiceNow (ticket management) utilization
• Deployment, configuration and support of standard IP telephony
• Hardware ordering and inventory management
• Limited support for Mac OS and hardware
• Additional responsibilities may include:
• Documentation (records) management
• On-boarding (Training) of new hires
• Conference room support
• Vendor engagement (as needed)

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience
• Hardware/software installation, troubleshooting and support (8-10+yrs exp)
