Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead the frontline engineering team within the Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (CIS) business unit. This onsite role at Annapolis Junction, MD, reports to the E&S C&IS BEE Department Manager and centers on staffing leadership and technical execution.

Ideal candidates have a strong engineering background, 8+ years in STEM leadership, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics with 8+ years of experience or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Leadership or management experience.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Frontline Manager activities for C&IS programs/captures.
• Provide people leadership for technical leaders in E100 roles.
• Ensure rigor in planning, baselines, cost/schedule management, and metrics.
• Develop technical leaders to support business success and talent pipeline.
• Oversee frontline administration including budgets, staffing, and workload forecasts.
