Job summary

Union Health in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for the Transfer Center. The role involves coordinating staff for absences, adjusting schedules, and ensuring census-driven coverage in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will support nursing leadership and help maintain service quality while balancing workforce needs. The position offers part-time and full-time options, on-call rotating shifts (630a-7p, 630p-7a), and opportunities for tuition reimbursement and retirement

Qualifications

• Excellent English and reading skills.
• Functional or working knowledge of computers.
• Associate degree in healthcare related field or more than 2 years’ experience in acute care hospital.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field required within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• The staffing coordinator generates, manages, and updates master schedules while making adjustments as needed according to census fluctuations, call‑ins, and budget parameters.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policy and procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the Director(s) of Nursing
• Demonstrates appropriate conduct and positive attitude
